Alfred F. Mis was born in Niagara Falls on July 11, 1921, the son of the late George and Balbina (Ciszek) Mis.  Mr. Mis was a graduate of Holy Trinity School, Niagara Falls High School and the University of Buffalo, where he attained his Bachelor and Master Degrees in Art and Art Education.  He worked for the Niagara Falls School District as an Art teacher at Niagara Falls High School for 40 years, and retired in 1987. As an accomplished artist, Mr. Mis as proud of having his art displayed at the Albright-Knox Art Gallery and at various locations in Niagara Falls. He was a member of the Holy Trinity Seniors, the American Legion Portage Post, the Echo Society and the Niagara Polish Cultural and Historical Society. Alfred F. Mis, 88 years old, died May 8, 2010.
