Rev. Francis Wasik

Birth:  November 22, 1883 in Krakow, Poland
Death:  June 27, 1946 in Niagara Falls, NY

Rev. Francis Wasik was a priest of the Diocese of Buffalo, New York, and the pastor of Holy Trinity Church in Niagara Falls at the time of his death at the age of 62.

He came to the United States when he was 21 years old and was ordained in Rochester, New York on June 12, 1909. He served as assistant pastor at St. Stanislaus and St. Casimer Churches in Buffalo before being made pastor of Sacred Heart Church in Medina. In 1917, he was given the task of establishing St. Florian Church on Hertel Avenue in a rapidly growing Polish-American area. In 1920, he became pastor of Holy Apostles Peter and Paul Church in Buffalo and was transferred to Holy Trinity in 1928.
